CARE / WARRANTY

Look after the installation. Keep the protection performing.

A little care after installation goes a long way. Follow these guidelines to help maintain the finish, protect the installation and support applicable warranty coverage.

Allow the newly installed product to cure for at least 48 hours after installation.

During this period, avoid:

  • Vehicle washing.
  • High-pressure water exposure.
  • Excessive moisture around edges and seams.
  • Aggressive cleaning, rubbing or scrubbing.
  • Touching, lifting or adjusting the film.

This allows installation moisture to dissipate and the adhesive to establish a proper bond.

Where the specific product manufacturer requires a longer curing period, those instructions take priority.

For full PPF and full vehicle wrap installations, VINYLED requires a complimentary post-installation check-up within 10–15 days.

During this visit, our team checks:

  • Film edges and corners.
  • Seams and joints.
  • Adhesion and settling.
  • Visible installation-related concerns.
  • Overall finish and condition.

This check-up helps identify and address installation-related concerns early.

Regular, gentle maintenance helps preserve the appearance and performance of your PPF or wrap.

  • Hand washing is preferred.
  • Use pH-neutral automotive shampoo.
  • Use clean microfiber wash and drying towels.
  • Remove bird droppings, insects, sap and fuel spills promptly.
  • Pay attention to film edges and seams.
  • Use only products compatible with the installed film.
  • Contact VINYLED before using unfamiliar detailing chemicals.

Hand washing is preferred. If pressure washing is used, take extra care around film edges and seams.

  • Never aim high-pressure water directly at film edges.
  • Keep the nozzle at a safe distance.
  • Use a wider spray pattern rather than a concentrated jet.
  • Avoid aggressive spray angles.
  • Inspect the film after washing.

To help protect the installation and applicable warranty coverage, avoid:

  • Automatic brush car washes.
  • Aggressive pressure washing near film edges.
  • Abrasive pads, rough sponges or hard brushes.
  • Abrasive polishing or rubbing compounds.
  • Harsh solvents or unapproved chemicals.
  • Excessive rubbing or aggressive cleaning.
  • Picking, peeling, cutting or scratching the film.
  • Steam or excessive heat directed at edges.
  • Leaving contaminants on the surface for prolonged periods.

After the initial 10–15 day inspection, VINYLED recommends a complimentary 6-month wash and check-up for eligible installations.

  • Exterior wash.
  • Visual inspection.
  • Film edge and seam check.
  • General condition assessment.
  • Basic aftercare guidance.

Complimentary care visits are a VINYLED aftercare service and do not replace product-specific manufacturer requirements.

VINYLED provides limited warranty support for eligible products installed by its authorized team.

Subject to the applicable product warranty, manufacturing-related defects may include:

  • Premature yellowing.
  • Cracking.
  • Bubbling or blistering.
  • Adhesive failure.
  • Premature peeling.
  • Other covered manufacturing defects.

Warranty coverage depends on the specific product, manufacturer, warranty period, installation and applicable terms.

  • Maintain the vehicle according to the recommended care instructions.
  • Use the product under normal vehicle operating conditions.
  • Complete required inspections where applicable.
  • Retain the original invoice and warranty documentation.
  • Have potential warranty concerns inspected before repair or replacement.

Warranty coverage generally does not extend to:

  • Accidents or collisions.
  • Stone chips, road debris or physical impact.
  • Scratches, cuts or punctures.
  • Improper washing or aggressive cleaning.
  • High-pressure water directed at film edges.
  • Unsuitable chemicals or abrasive products.
  • Improper maintenance or neglect.
  • Unauthorized repair, modification or removal.
  • Third-party installation or repair.
  • Existing paint defects or weak paint conditions.
  • Unsuitable repainting or previous paintwork.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Environmental or chemical damage outside applicable product terms.
  • Misuse or abnormal vehicle use.

Automotive protection films naturally experience environmental exposure and ageing over time.

  • Slight reduction in gloss or clarity.
  • Minor texture or finish variation.
  • Minor edge movement over an extended period.
  • Gradual ageing from sunlight, heat, pollution and weather exposure.

These conditions may represent normal ageing rather than a manufacturing defect.

If you notice unusual bubbling, lifting, cracking, yellowing, peeling or another potential product issue:

  • Do not attempt to repair or remove the film yourself.
  • Stop aggressive cleaning of the affected area.
  • Take clear photographs of the issue.
  • Contact VINYLED with your vehicle and installation details.
  • Bring the vehicle for inspection when requested.
  • Allow VINYLED and/or the applicable manufacturer to assess the issue.

Warranty periods and coverage can vary by film brand, product, installation and manufacturer terms.

Your individual warranty is governed by the warranty documentation applicable to the product installed on your vehicle.

VINYLED care recommendations are intended to help maintain the installation and do not replace the manufacturer's official warranty terms.

The warranty applies to eligible installed products in accordance with VINYLED's applicable warranty terms.

VINYLED is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the installed product.

Vehicle owners remain responsible for compliance with applicable laws and regulations relating to automotive films, wraps and aftermarket modifications.

Any amendment or extension of warranty terms must be provided in writing by VINYLED management.
